Our popular, 2 days long, avalanche course is back! You ride in steep terrain during winter and want to learn more about avalanches. This is the course for you!
During this course, we will be focusing on planning ski outings, route finding through avalanche terrain, decision making and snow stability assessment. Part of the course will also be focused on companion rescue, where you’ll learn how to use probe, shovel and avalanche beacon. To make the most out of these two days, this course is resort based. We will be skiing a combination of inbound runs and short ski tours. We highly recommend, for groups of skiers who usually ski together, to enroll together on this course. This way, your group will gain real experience and coaching that can be put to use during your next trip!
