Kayak course

Your complete provider of kayak courses in Møre and Romsdal

We organize kayaking courses for both beginners and those with advanced skills. The courses provide an approved “Wet Card” from the Norwegian Paddling Association. We have fixed course dates and set up courses on request.

Our instructors have training in outdoor life and are, as a minimum, trained as activity leaders through the Norwegian Paddling Association, as well as having extensive experience in guiding and supervising several activities.

Our passion is good experiences. On a course with us, you get this at the same time as you learn to paddle within a safe framework.

Basic course
The course provides a thorough introduction to kayaking over two days in the kayak out on the fjord. Courses with specific themes

Rescue and safety course
This course gives you the opportunity to become good at rescue techniques and teaches you what you can do to have a safer kayak trip. We focus on developing your ability to carry out self-rescue and buddy rescue. There is also a focus on safety and how to arrange safer trips. The course lasts four hours. You do not need to have attended a course before but should have some previous kayak experience.

Rolling course
For many kayakers, being able to roll is the big goal, and it’s also nice to be able to! In this course, you get the opportunity to learn Eskimo rolling. It is individual how long it takes to learn the roll, some get it during the course, and some need more time. This course gives you the foundation you need to learn it. The course lasts 4-5 hours, depending on how eager the participants are.

Tour and technique course
This course is for those who want to combine paddling with a course in technique. The course takes place over three days on the coast of Sunnmøre, where we teach you the basics of tour paddling over several days, paddling technique, and safe paddling. With this course, you lay the foundations for being able to travel on an overnight trip with a kayak, while at the same time, you get to develop as a kayak paddler. You do not need a previous basic course to participate, but it is recommended. For participants with a basic course from before, this will qualify them for a technique course wafer from the Norwegian Paddling Association.
