Rafting & Canyoning Guides – Summer Season 2026

Uteguiden | Valldal, Norway

Do you want to work in breathtaking landscapes – with sharp peaks, deep fjords, lush valleys, and wild rivers as your playground?
Would you like to give our guests adventures and memories for life, together with an enthusiastic and professional team?

Then we would love to hear from you!

Uteguiden is one of Norway’s largest adventure companies and the leading guiding company in Møre og Romsdal. We offer year-round outdoor experiences – from ski touring and climbing to rafting, paddling, cycling, and RIB adventures.

We are now looking for versatile and skilled rafting & canyoning guides for the 2026 summer season, based in Valldal – the Adventure Valley.

About the position

  • Seasonal employment from June to September 2026
  • As a guide at Uteguiden, you are part of an experienced team that always goes the extra mile
  • You use your skills and passion as a guide, storyteller, and nature lover to create safe and unforgettable experiences for our guests
  • In addition to rafting and canyoning, it is an advantage if you can also guide activities such as sea kayaking, hiking, or biking, and assist with tasks outside regular guiding

Who are you?

First and foremost, you share Uteguiden’s values: you enjoy what you do and strive to become a better version of yourself every day.

You are qualified in:

  • Rafting (canyoning training can be provided if needed)
  • Adventure guiding
  • Interpretation and storytelling
  • Valid first aid certification (minimum wilderness first aid)
  • Knowledge of nature, culture, and the environment
  • Basic digital/IT skills
  • Driver’s license (Class B)
  • Valid work visa / EEA citizenship

Your guests and colleagues remember you because:

  • You always put safety first
  • You tell great stories while keeping tours well organized
  • You are service-minded and customer-focused
  • You stay positive and quality-driven, even in challenging situations

It’s a big plus if you also have:

  • Education or experience in service and tourism
  • Fluency in one of the Scandinavian languages

What we offer

At Uteguiden, you can expect a minimum of 100 work hours per month, provided you are available, enthusiastic, and flexible. You become part of a close-knit guide team where you can learn, share knowledge, and grow over multiple seasons.

You will have access to several of the company’s equipment agreements, free access to the bouldering center in Stranda, and the opportunity to participate in monthly training sessions and social events.

For the right person – especially if you wish to stay with us for several years – there are opportunities to join our guide training and education program.

Housing

If needed, we will assist you in finding accommodation during your employment.
