This course is something for those who travel in steep terrain in winter and want to learn more about avalanches. We focus on route selection, travel in avalanche terrain and companion rescue training.
This is a 7-day avalanche course for those who work or want to work professionally with snow avalanches as a guide or ski patroller. Over the course of 7 days in the field, we will collect data on avalanche activity, snowpack, and weather, and learn how to interpret this information to plan safe activities and trips.
