About Hygge by Uteguiden
We are a coffee bar for both locals and visitors, in addition to being Uteguiden’s office and a place for equipment rental. We aim to use as many local ingredients as possible and, among other things, sell coffee from Ålesund. In our premises, we have locally produced furniture and sheepskins from the surrounding area – together we create Hygge in Stranda!
Do you have a passion for coffee, a desire to create a welcoming atmosphere, and want to be part of a creative team? We are looking for a person who is over 18 years old and able to work independently while handling periods of high workload. A new addition with us is an espresso machine, and it is a great advantage if you have previous experience as a barista.

Your responsibilities
- Serve our guests and operate the cash register
- Prepare and serve coffee, drinks, and simple dishes
- Bake cakes and buns daily to ensure fresh offerings for our guests
- Participate in planning and executing themed evenings and other events
- Help keep the café clean and well-organized
- Assist with equipment rental and provide advice to our visitors
- Plan work schedules for the remaining staff
Your qualifications
- Experience from the café or restaurant industry is an advantage, but not a requirement
- A strong interest in coffee and guest service
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Creative and proactive, with your own ideas for events and activities
- Fluent in Norwegian and good knowledge of English
