Uteguiden AS is one of Norway’s largest adventure companies and the leading guiding firm in Møre og Romsdal. We offer year-round experiences – from ski touring and climbing to rafting, paddling, cycling and RIB. We are now looking for versatile and talented guides for the 2026 summer season, with experience and training in kayaking /hiking / biking, for our bases in Valldal, Ålesund, Hellesylt, Molde and Geiranger.
About the position
Seasonal positions from May to September 2026. Some cover the whole period, others only peak season (June/July–August). As a guide at Uteguiden, you are part of an experienced team that always goes the extra mile. You use your skills and passion as an experienced guide, storyteller and nature lover to create safe, unforgettable experiences for our guests.
Our tours range from 2–3 hours to several days, and you also help with tasks outside regular guiding.
Who are you?
First of all, you share Uteguiden’s values: you enjoy what you do and strive to become a better version of yourself every day.
You are qualified in:
- Outdoor life and nature-based guiding
- Interpretation and storytelling
- Valid first aid certification – minimum basic wilderness first aid
- Knowledge of nature, culture and the environment
- Basic digital/IT skills
- A driver’s license (Class B)
And you have the technical qualifications required for the activities you lead:
- Sea kayak leadership (Activity Leader Sea, BCU Sea Kayak Leader, or equivalent)
- Hiking and/or cycling guide certification
Your guests and colleagues remember you because:
- You always put safety first
- You tell great stories while keeping the tour well organized
- You are service-minded and customer-focused
- You remain positive and quality-driven, even in challenging situations
It’s a big plus if you also have:
- Education or experience in service and tourism
- Fluency in one of the Scandinavian languages
What we offer
At Uteguiden, you can expect at least 100 work hours per month, as long as you are available, enthusiastic and flexible. You become part of a cohesive guideteam where you can learn, share knowledge and grow across multiple seasons. You get access to several of the company’s equipment agreements and free access to the bouldering center in Stranda. You can also join our monthly trainings and social events.
For the right person, and especially if you want to stay several years, there are opportunities to join our guide training and education program.
Housing
If needed, we will assist you in finding a place to live while working with us.
