Guide for sea fishing
We're looking for experienced fishing enthusiasts to join as fishing guides aboard Hofstein, our dedicated fishing vessel running daily trips (morning and afternoon departures) out of Ålesund, along with private charters for smaller groups.
As a fishing guide, you're the face of the trip for our guests – welcoming them aboard, sharing stories about the region, and making sure everyone has a memorable day on the water. You're also hands-on: rigging and fixing fishing gear, coaching guests on technique throughout the trip, helping them land their catch, and efficiently filleting fish for the light onboard meals we prepare from the day's catch.
Who we´re are looking for
- Solid, long-standing fishing experience – you know your way around gear, rigging, and technique from real practice (required)
- Confident and efficient at filleting fish
- Great with people – outgoing, patient, and a natural storyteller
- You must be comfortable speaking English – many of our guests are international
- Local knowledge of the Ålesund area and waters is a strong advantage
- Flexible availability
