Early in the season, snowmelt makes the waterfalls powerful, but the water is cold. That is why proper paddling gear is part of every tour. In midsummer the days are long and the fjord is often calm in the morning and evening.
Western Norway gets rain in every month. The upside is that the waterfalls swell after a few wet days, which makes them even more spectacular from the water.

3-hour Guided Fjord Kayak
The classic tour starts from the inner part of the fjord near Geiranger village. You follow the shoreline with the cliffs and waterfalls of the inner fjord around you.
On a standard tour you typically paddle around 7–10 km, depending on weather and the group. Your guide picks the best route on the day. This tour does not go all the way to the Seven Sisters.
4-hour Kayak to the Seven Sisters
This longer tour heads further out along the fjord towards the Seven Sisters waterfall. Opposite the Seven Sisters is the waterfall known as the Suitor. It suits active paddlers aged 13 and up who want more time on the water.
Two-day UNESCO Geirangerfjord adventure
