Valldal

The village of Valldal is number one when it comes to experiences in Møre og Romsdal! Here, you will find a wide variety of activities for all age groups. Valldal is known as the “strawberry village on Sunnmøre”, with perhaps Norway’s best strawberries. The warm climate provides perfect conditions for berry and fruit production, but also perfect conditions for outdoor activities and experiences!

The Adventure Valley

For activity- and nature lovers

Valldal has a unique location, with an hour’s journey to several good neighbours. Åndalsnes and Romsdalseggen are close by, on the other side of Trollstigen, while Geiranger and Geirangerfjorden are only a short ferry ride away. The Art Nouveau town Ålesund is an hour’s drive west, Molde and Atlanterhavsvegen a good hour’s drive north. Valldal is a perfect base for exploring the whole region!

The thrill-seekers can participate in rafting down the river Valldøla and canyoning in Gudbrandsjuvet. If you are looking for peace and quiet and want to get close to the fjord, a kayak trip on an untouched UNESCO World Heritage fjord is recommended. There are also a number of alternatives for both short and long mountain hikes with spectacular fjord views.
